WHS FOOD DRIVE CHALLENGEIn November 2014, the WHS VIPs were proud to conduct the first annual WHS Food Drive Challenge. The drive raised $3,300 and over 1300 food items for donation to the Weymouth Food Pantry.
Students and teachers competed together to bring in non-perishable food items and monetary donations for the Weymouth Food Pantry. The pantry can purchase $7 worth of food for every $1 donated. To educate the WHS students about the need for monetary donations, each food item was worth 1 point, while each dollar donated netted classes 7 points. Congratulations to this this year's winning class, Mr. Fink's 3rd period Modern World History class. Mr. Fink's students raised over $700. A pair of tickets to a New England Patriots home game was raffled off to one lucky participant courtesy of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation. View the 2014 Score Board |
