About usThe VIP program, which stands for Volunteers In Practice, is the National Honors Society for community service. Each year public school students donate hundreds of thousands of hours of service to their communities and beyond. Their volunteerism strengthens their communities and touches lives as they host food drives, clean up parks, support troops, and much more. Though the impact of all students involved in volunteerism is great, some students exceed volunteerism expectations. Through their outstanding volunteerism, these students earn a special standing as a “VIP,” or a Volunteer In Practice.
